About Jakki Degg
Born on February 20, 1978, Jakki Degg is a British figure known for her career as a glamour model. Though her professional endeavors have largely been centered in England, her presence has extended to American film and television, and she has lent her image to numerous posters and magazine spreads. While her birthplace is Stone, Degg hails from Hednesford, Staffordshire.
Her childhood was marked by a dedication to dance, particularly ballet, where she achieved success in various competitions. This was followed by her education in hairdressing, leading her to manage her own salon by the age of twenty. Degg's rise to public recognition began when, with her mother's urging, she entered and triumphed in the very first Max Power magazine babes competition. This success paved the way for her to become a Page 3 model for The Sun newspaper, and in 2001, she was recognized as the "greatest ever Page 3 girl." She has featured in publications aimed at men, such as Front, in topless and semi-nude poses. Degg later shifted away from full nudity in her modeling, opting for more modest attire. She made a return to The Sun's Page 3 in August 2006, following a four-year hiatus.
Degg has also made multiple television appearances. She had a minor part in the drama series Is Harry on the Boat? on Sky One and took the leading role in the short film Remember My Dream, directed by Joao Costa Menezes. Additionally, she served as a stand-in for the television show The Games but was ultimately not featured. On Channel 4's Banzai, she appeared with a shotgun, with viewers betting on the number of balloons she would pop. Degg emerged victorious in the Page 3 model charity special edition of BBC1's The Weakest Link, defeating Leilani Dowding in a tie-breaking round, with her prize money donated to the RSPCA. Her participation in the show's 1,000th episode, however, was brief, as she was the first contestant eliminated based on a countback. In 2004, she won the ITV quiz show Celebrity 24 Hour Quiz, with her winnings also benefiting the RSPCA. Her acting credits also include a role in The Poker Academy and an appearance in the American film Eurotrip.
