Jane Kaczmarek — Biography

Jane Kaczmarek, an American actress, rose to prominence for her indelible portrayal of Lois, the formidable matriarch in the Fox sitcom Malcolm in the Middle, a role she inhabited from 2000 to 2006. This acclaimed performance garnered her three Golden Globe nominations and seven Primetime Emmy nominations. Her television credits also include Linda in the series Equal Justice from 1990 to 1991, and Judge Trudy Kessler in Raising the Bar between 2008 and 2009. On the film side, she appeared as Ann in the 1984 movie Falling in Love, played Emily in The Heavenly Kid in 1985, and took on the part of Gayle in 2018's 6 Balloons. Kaczmarek also made memorable appearances as Holly in Cybill and as Maureen Cutler in Frasier, in addition to a substantial array of other recurring and guest spots across numerous television programs.
