Jane Russell — Biography
Jane Russell's name has long been associated with the term "bombshell" in the world of cinema. This connection is hardly surprising, given her striking brunette looks and the voluptuous curves that became a hallmark of her image. Interestingly, her famous attributes were considered so provocative for the era that the premiere of her first film, Howard Hughes's burlesque western The Outlaw, experienced two delays before it could be released. Ultimately, the film debuted in 1946 and quickly became a hit, largely due to Jane's eye-catching presence in an outdated blouse that showcased her figure.
