Born on June 8, 1997, and also recognized as Aļona Ostapenko, this Latvian professional tennis force has reached significant heights in the sport. Her peak WTA singles ranking was fifth in the world, a distinction she earned on March 19, 2018. In doubles, she achieved a career-high ranking of ninth globally on August 22, 2022.

Ostapenko etched her name in history by capturing the 2017 French Open singles championship, making her the inaugural Latvian to secure a Grand Slam singles trophy.
