Jess Lai Mieritz, a German-Chinese artist and musician currently residing in Chicago, displayed an early aptitude for music, mastering both the guitar and clarinet concurrently from a young age. This classical foundation significantly informs her distinct approach to composing original pieces. Beyond her instrumental skills, Lai Mieritz also excels as a singer and producer, crafting and realizing her own musical visions. Her sonic palette is exceptionally diverse, encompassing styles from the mellow textures of lo-fi beats to the energetic pulse of hyperpop, and even venturing into the powerful realm of metal, among other genres. Her formal education includes a degree in Professional Music, complemented by a minor in Instrument Repair, from the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. She distinguished herself academically, graduating at the very top of her class with the highest honors, Summa Cum Laude.
