Hailing from Australia, Jessica De Gouw, born on February 15, 1988, is an actress who has made her mark on television screens. Known for portraying Helena Bertinelli, also known as The Huntress, in the popular series Arrow, she also took on the role of Mina Murray in NBC's Dracula. De Gouw's formative years were spent in Lesmurdie, a suburb east of Perth, Western Australia, where she completed her secondary education at Lesmurdie Senior High School. Her early acting experiences included a guest spot on The Sleepover Club and participation in a short film.

In 2010, at the age of 22, De Gouw earned her degree in performance studies from Curtin University. That same year saw her featured in another short film. Seeking expanded opportunities in her acting career, she relocated to Sydney. There, she secured various guest roles across a number of television series. Her feature film debut occurred in 2012 with the movie Kath & Kimderella, where she played Isabella, the maid to the titular characters. Later in 2012, after making the move to Los Angeles, she landed a significant role as Helena Bertinelli/The Huntress in the action-adventure series Arrow. Her impactful recurring performance in Arrow led to her casting in the NBC series Dracula as Mina Murray, sharing the screen with actors Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Oliver Jackson-Cohen.
