Jessica Maia — Biography

Jessica Maia has twice been crowned Queen of Carnival in Rio de Janeiro, triumphing in 2009 and again in 2018. Her prowess in the competition was also recognized with a runner-up title in 2011 and a third-place finish in 2002. A seasoned participant in samba school parades, she held the prestigious role of Queen of Drums for a number of schools between 2010 and 2020, showcasing her talent with Imperatriz Leopoldinense, Alegria da Zona Sul, Mocidade Independente, and others. Her striking presence graced the cover of Brazilian Playboy in February 2009. Throughout her career, Jessica has maintained a connection between Brazil and Panama, splitting her time due to professional endeavors in the Central American nation.
