Jordan Emanuel — Biography

Jordan Emanuel entered the world on April 17, 1992, in Baltimore, Maryland, but her upbringing unfolded in Basking Ridge, New Jersey. She comes from a supportive African-American family, with parents Paula Birdsong Emanuel and Laurence “David” Emanuel. The tragic loss of her mother in June 2009, when Jordan was just 17, deeply influenced her understanding of cherishing family and loved ones. She pursued her education at Far Hills Country Day School and later at The Hun School of Princeton from 2006 to 2010. In 2014, she graduated from the University of Miami, earning a Bachelor of Science degree while triple majoring in Broadcast Journalism, Music Business, and Art History. Jordan's early passions for storytelling and advocacy shaped her diverse career path.

Emanuel's modeling career began unexpectedly when she shared “25 Days of Jordan” on social media to celebrate her 25th birthday, which eventually attracted Playboy's attention. She became a Bunny at the Playboy Club in New York, starting in 2018, and was named Playmate of the Month for December of that year. Her accolade as Playmate of the Year in 2019 marked a significant achievement, as she was only the second Black woman to receive this honor since Ida Ljungqvist in 2009 and the last before Playboy ceased its nude pictorials. While Emanuel’s Playboy work spanned various non-nude photosets, including those featured on Playboy Plus, and appearances in Playboy magazine and BabesRater, some fans expressed disappointment over the absence of nude content. She also participated in a pictorial for Playboy Germany in 2019, although there is no record of her roles on Playboy TV or similar platforms.

In addition to her Playboy career, Emanuel excels as a journalist, model, DJ, and reality television personality. She has contributed to various notable publications such as Hollywood Life, Bossip, The New York Times, Glamour, and MadameNoire, alongside modeling for brands like CoverGirl, Rimmel London, and American Express. As an open-format DJ, she has graced the stages of prestigious events including the 2024 Preakness Festival, New York Fashion Week, and NBA All-Star Weekend, sharing the spotlight with artists like Saweetie and Diplo. Emanuel is also a cast member of Bravo's "Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard," appearing in its debut season in 2021 and returning for the second season in 2024, as well as "Winter House" in its third season in 2023, where she has garnered a positive response for her down-to-earth nature.

Driven by her personal experiences with depression, anxiety, and alopecia—diagnosed in 2018—she co-founded Women With Voices, a Brooklyn-based nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness about mental health and sexual education and liberation. Jordan maintains a strong social media presence, with approximately 107,000 followers on Instagram (@jordyemanuel
