Julia Benson — Biography

Julia Benson is an accomplished actress and producer who hails from North Vancouver, British Columbia. Her journey in the performing arts began at the tender age of six when she immersed herself in ballet, tap, and jazz dance. In 2001, she completed her studies at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, earning a degree in theatre and psychology. Julia further honed her acting skills at David Mamet's Atlantic Theater Company in New York City. She is well-known for her portrayal of Vanessa James in the science fiction series Stargate Universe. In 2009, Julia wed Canadian actor, writer, director, and producer Peter Benson. She is also a producer at Married to the Boss Productions and comes from a family with five siblings.
