Her most recognizable work comes from portraying Ruth Langmore in the Netflix crime saga Ozark, a role she has held since 2017. This performance garnered significant praise and an award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series at the Primetime Emmys. Before and during that time, Garner also appeared in the FX historical espionage show The Americans, which ran from 2015 to 2018.
