About Julie Cobb
Julie Cobb, a native of the United States, has carved out a career in acting. Her initial credited performance graced an episode of the iconic science fiction series Star Trek, titled "By Any Other Name," which premiered on February 23, 1968. Notably, she holds the distinction of being the sole female Redshirt to perish within the original run of the show.
Television audiences may also recall her appearance on Gunsmoke in 1974. The role of the Colonel was brought to life by Lee J. Cobb, Julie Cobb's father in real life. Further television work includes her role as Greg Brady's high school girlfriend on The Brady Bunch in 1971, and an appearance in an early season of Little House on the Prairie. Cobb also took on the part of the Pembroke family's matriarch in the inaugural season of the sitcom Charles in Charge, and was seen on the brief-lived series The D.A.
Her filmography features roles in The Second Coming of Suzanne (1974), Just You and Me, Kid (1979), The Runnin' Kind (1989), Lisa (1990), Defending Your Life (1991), and Dr. Jekyll and Ms. Hyde (1995). Additionally, she was part of the made-for-television movie adaptations of Salem's Lot (1979) and Brave New World (1980). On the theatrical stage, Cobb garnered the L.A. Drama Critics Award for her performance in a production of Arthur Miller's play, After the Fall.
