June Thorburn — Biography

June Thorburn, born Patricia June Thubron-Smith on June 8, 1931, was a celebrated English actress whose promising career was tragically truncated by her untimely demise in an aviation accident. Her cinematic contributions include memorable roles in "Tom Thumb" (1958), "The 3 Worlds of Gulliver" (1960), and "The Cruel Sea" (1953). Thorburn was twice wed, first to Morten Smith-Petersen and later to Aldon Richard Bryse-Harvey. Her life concluded on November 4, 1967, in West Sussex, England. At the time of her death, she was expecting her third child. She was en route to London from Spain aboard Iberia Flight 062, which tragically crashed at Blackdown, Sussex, resulting in the loss of all 37 individuals on board.
