Kali Uchis is a singular creative force, deeply involved in shaping the visual identity of her music, from crafting striking album artwork to helming her music videos. Her distinctive fashion sense artfully blends the sophistication of the 1960s with the raw energy of 1990s urban style. Her debut studio effort, Por Vida, arrived in 2015, boasting collaborations with notable artists like Tyler, the Creator and Kaytranada. As of December 2025, Uchis commands a significant online presence, with over 8.3 million followers on Instagram and a YouTube channel boasting 3.48 million subscribers.

Her artistic journey began in her youth with a passion for poetry, and in high school, she honed her musical talents playing the saxophone in a jazz ensemble. In her late teens, she delved into mixed media art, creating collages, and also gained experience in video editing and directing.

Uchis has graced the pages of prestigious publications such as Vogue, FADER Magazine, and Billboard. Born Karly-Marina Loaiza, her upbringing was split between Virginia and Colombia, before she eventually settled in Los Angeles, California. She is in a relationship with rapper Don Toliver. The couple shared news of their pregnancy in January 2024 through a joint music video, and they welcomed their son in March of the same year.
