Kalyani Priyadarshan is an Indian performer known primarily for her work in Malayalam cinema, though she has also graced the screens in Tamil and Telugu productions. Her accolades include a Filmfare Award South and three South Indian International Movie Awards. The daughter of renowned filmmaker Priyadarshan and actress Lissy, Kalyani initially explored her creative talents behind the camera as an assistant production designer. Her transition to acting came with the Telugu film Hello in 2017, a role that earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut – South. She subsequently ventured into Tamil cinema with Hero in 2019 and made her Malayalam acting debut in Varane Avashyamund the following year. Kalyani's filmography since then features notable titles such as Chitralahari (2019), Maanaadu (2021), Hridayam (2022), Thallumaala (2022), and Bro Daddy (2022). It was for her performance in Bro Daddy that she received the SIIMA Award for Best Actress – Malayalam.
