Karen Velez — Biography

Born on January 27, 1961, in Rockville Centre, New York, Karen Velez was a Puerto Rican-American model who gained prominence in the adult entertainment industry. She earned the distinction of being featured as Playboy magazine's centerfold selection for December 1984 and subsequently received the honor of Playmate of the Year in 1985, becoming the inaugural Puerto Rican woman to achieve this recognition. Her personal life included a marriage to actor Lee Majors, known for his starring role in The Six Million Dollar Man, which lasted from 1988 until their separation in 1994.

Velez's career highlights included her prominent appearance in Playboy during 1984. Her legacy continued through her family when her daughter, Nikki Majors, followed in her footsteps by appearing in Playboy magazine's Playmate Daughters feature in March 2008, demonstrating the strength of family resemblance. Velez passed away on July 2, 2023, in Downey, California, with the suspected cause being influenza.
