Born November 27 in the modest Tennessee town of Erlanger, Kate Bloom carries several permanent marks of her journey. A dream-catcher adorns the inner curve of her right elbow, a playful blue cartoon character graces her left thigh, and the empowering phrase "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger" is inked across her left flank. Her left nostril and navel are also adorned with piercings. From a young age, Bloom displayed a rebellious spirit, famously losing her virginity to her boyfriend in her stepfather's home.
