She achieved widespread fame through her portrayal of Dr. Izzie Stevens on the ABC medical series Grey's Anatomy, which ran from 2005 to 2010. During her time on the show, she won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 2007 and garnered numerous other recognitions.
