Before her turns in Playboy, Katherine Hushaw had already built a diverse career. She was a known figure in modeling, her striking posterior even gracing the inaugural advertisements for California Cooler. Her vocal talents were heard in radio voice-overs, and she also appeared in television commercials. Beyond her entertainment pursuits, Hushaw holds a pilot's license for helicopters. Her intellectual curiosity extended to the study of Japanese art and archaeology, alongside martial arts training in shou-shu and the healing practice of shiatsu massage. It was during her time at shiatsu school that she acquired the affectionate moniker Sachiko, a Japanese term signifying "happy child." Adding to her collection of Japanese interests, Katherine is also an enthusiast of netsuke, intricately carved miniature sculptures.
