Katie St. Ives was born in Sherman Oaks, California, to a diverse heritage—her mother is Cuban, while her father is of both Cuban and German descent. In her younger years, Katie aspired to be a chef. Before entering the adult film industry, she held a variety of jobs including a bagger at Gelson's Supermarket and Whole Foods Market, a cashier at Target, a waitress at the restaurant Up in Smoke, and positions at a call center and Case Farms in Iowa.
