About Kennedy Cummins

Hailing from Kenosha, Wisconsin, Kennedy Cummins transitioned from collegiate cheerleading at the University of Minnesota, where she represented the Golden Gophers, to the world of professional wrestling. As of January 2024, her career has taken her to WWE, performing under the moniker Carlee Bright on the NXT brand.

Cummins' journey with WWE began on November 10, 2022, when she was revealed as part of the Fall 2022 Rookie Class at the WWE Performance Center. Her first in-ring appearance at a live event occurred on September 29, 2023, teaming with Fallon Henley in a match they lost to Lola Vice and Elektra Lopez. Her televised debut took place on the January 19, 2024, broadcast of NXT Level Up, where she competed as Carlee Bright and was unsuccessful against Jacy Jayne. In the subsequent months, Bright frequently partnered with Kendal Grey on NXT Level Up, largely experiencing defeats.

A significant development came on April 6 at NXT Stand & Deliver, when NXT General Manager Ava unveiled the new NXT Women's North American Championship. Bright participated in a preliminary combine to earn a spot in the inaugural championship ladder match at NXT Battleground. However, she finished thirteenth, missing out on the top twelve spots that qualified for the ensuing matches. Demonstrating her drive, Bright challenged Lola Vice on the May 14 episode of WWE NXT, aiming to rebound from her combine performance, but was once again defeated. Her path continued with a loss to Fallon Henley on the June 18 episode of NXT, a match disrupted by Wendy Choo's ringside attack on her partner, Kendal Grey. Bright faced Wendy Choo again on the July 2 episode of NXT, this time in a losing effort. Her match on the July 23 episode of NXT against Wren Sinclair also resulted in defeat, with Charlie Dempsey of No Quarter Catch Crew interfering from outside the ring to assist Sinclair in securing the pin.
