Laura Desiree's artistic journey began in the vibrant, often gritty, scenes of New York City. She honed her craft performing atop bar counters and serving drinks on tables in upscale hotel lounges, later venturing into the more intimate settings of Lower East Side dive bars. Her talent for promotion led her to organize various nightlife events, and it was during this time that she emerged as a sought-after go-go dancer and burlesque artist, mentored by the renowned Miss Jo "Boobs" Weldon and nurtured by the New York School Of Burlesque.

Upon her return to her native Toronto, Laura continued to cultivate her passion for erotic cabaret. She not only performed in this genre but also took on the role of producer, bringing her distinctive shows to local venues and audiences worldwide. Her creative endeavors further evolved with her recent appointment as Creative Director at Toronto's Candyland, where she developed avant-garde, performance art pieces designed to provoke and captivate. Known internationally for her charisma as an emcee at alluring events and for her captivating stage presence when shedding her attire, Laura has earned the fitting moniker "The Big City Kitty." Her distinctive blend of sensuality, wit, and bold attitude makes her a natural fit for our program. As of May 2024, her Instagram following has grown to an impressive 117,000 individuals.
