Born on July 24, 1968, in Iowa City, Iowa, Laura Leighton is an accomplished actress and producer. Her career is marked by notable roles in television series such as Melrose Place (1992), Skin (2003), and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1999). Leighton has been married to fellow actor Doug Savant since May 2, 1998, and they share two children.
