Lauren Chen, whose birth name is Lauren Yu Sum Tam and who was previously recognized as Roaming Millennial, is a political commentator of Canadian origin now based in the United States. She also formerly created content as a YouTuber. During the years 2019 and 2020, Chen was responsible for a commentary program on BlazeTV called 'Pseudo-Intellectual'. Currently, since 2021, she has been producing her commentary videos independently on her own channel and co-hosts the podcast "No Malarkey" with Marie Oaks. Chen pursued her higher education in both California and Utah before spending a period of time back in Canada. She now makes her home in Nashville, Tennessee. This relocation, with her husband Liam Donovan, was partly motivated by a desire to distance themselves from the administration of Justin Trudeau. Following a year away from public online platforms, Chen resumed her social media presence on September 7, 2025. This return occurred after a joint investigation by the US Department of Justice and Canadian authorities into Chen's now-disbanded media enterprise, Tenet Media, concerning allegations of collaboration with Russia. These accusations were ultimately dismissed in April 2025 due to insufficient evidence, leading Chen to file a countersuit against the US DOJ. Chen's heritage traces back to Hong Kong. As of September 2025, she has cultivated a following of 577,000 on the platform X.
