About Lauren Gardner

Growing up in Denver, Colorado, Lauren Gardner honed her athletic and leadership skills at Northglenn High School, excelling as an All-Conference softball player and serving as captain of the dance team. She pursued higher education at the University of Colorado Boulder, earning a bachelor's degree in political science in 2007. During her college years, Gardner also dedicated time to the Denver Broncos Cheerleaders from 2004 to 2009 and holds a private pilot's license. Her passion for sports is evident in her strong support for the Denver Broncos, Colorado Avalanche, and Colorado Rockies.

Gardner's journey into sports broadcasting began with internships at FOX Sports Rocky Mountain and Mile High Sports magazine. She has since lent her talents as a sideline reporter and host for a variety of networks, including CBS Sports Network, Fox Sports Ohio, MTV2, Smithsonian Channel, and Altitude Sports and Entertainment. In these roles, she has provided coverage for major professional and collegiate sports leagues such as the NFL, NHL, NBA, MLB, college football, and college basketball. Her hosting experience extends to pre and post-game shows, red carpet events, fantasy football programming, and even the documentary series Sports Detectives. Gardner joined the MLB and NHL networks in the spring of 2019, where she has hosted programs like Quick Pitch, On the Fly, and NHL Tonight, in addition to reporting on significant league events. On July 20, 2021, she was part of a groundbreaking all-female broadcast team for a Baltimore Orioles vs. Tampa Bay Rays game on YouTube, alongside Melanie Newman for play-by-play, Sarah Langs, Alanna Rizzo as a sideline reporter, and Heidi Watney. In April 2022, Gardner took on the role of host for a new MLB Network panel show, Off Base, which transitioned to a podcast format in 2025. Furthermore, she contributes to boxing coverage as a host and reporter for DAZN and hosts the U.S. version of Born Fighter on Matchroom Boxing's YouTube channel.
