Laurena Lacey — Biography

Hailing from London, Laurena Lacey has carved out a niche as a celebrated glamour model. She holds the distinction of being one of the first glamour models from Northern Ireland to achieve international recognition, and notably, the sole Irish woman to be featured as a US Playboy Cybergirl or Playmate. In 2008, Laurena proudly held the Miss Hawaiian Tropic crown for Ireland. Her formative years were spent in Enniskillen, where she pursued A-levels in Travel and Tourism, alongside Beauty Therapy. Later, she relocated to Birmingham, England, to study Property and Construction at university.

Lacey's modeling journey began at sixteen, with early work in hair shows and a runway appearance for the Tammy Girl store. Initially, the prospect of a modeling career seemed improbable to the 5'4" native of Northern Ireland. However, through her interactions within the modeling industry, she received the encouragement needed to pursue her aspirations. A move to Birmingham, West Midlands, proved pivotal; her modeling engagements became more frequent after she was scouted and signed with Supermodel Agency. Laurena's profile rose as she graced the covers and Page 3 of British tabloids, alongside features in British Lads, Car, and Bike magazines. Her work also extended to Television X, where she presented adverts and posed for page 3-style pictorials.

The Irish model lent her talents to numerous lingerie companies, including Pabo, and collaborated with brands like Vodafone, appearing in TV commercials and for computer game producers. In 2007, Laurena made a cinematic appearance in Carmen Electra's film "I Want Candy" and participated in the BBC One reality show Celebrity Scissorhands. Subsequently, a job opportunity in the US marked her first promotional tour across the country. Her extensive US tour encompassed cities such as Los Angeles, Florida, New York City, Chicago, Colorado, Dallas, Houston, and New Jersey. During this period, she engaged in photoshoots for Hustler Lingerie and Electric Lingerie, as well as various poster and calendar projects. Laurena also collaborated with notable figures like Ludacris, Ivanka Trump, and Michael Strahan for Ed Hardy and Revolution Eyewear. She further graced La'boheme club in Denver with a host appearance before returning home.

Since her initial foray into the American market, Laurena has undertaken modeling assignments across European countries, including Poland, Spain, Holland, France, and Germany. While in America, her visit to the Chicago Playboy office led to a meeting with the entire team and a brief test shoot with their in-house photographer. Within days, she was shooting her pictorial for Cyber Girl of the Week, a prominent feature on the Playboy website. Shortly after her return to the UK, Laurena was invited back to the United States to participate in a Hollywood Celebrity Catwalk event benefiting the Noah's Arch animal welfare charity.
