About Leighton Meester

Leighton Marissa Meester was born in Fort Worth, Texas, to Constance Lynn (Haas) and Douglas Jay Meester. Although she initially entered the world in Texas, her formative years were spent in Marco Island, Florida, living with her grandparents. During this time, she became actively involved in the local theatre scene, making her stage debut in a production of "The Wizard of Oz." At the age of 11, Meester relocated to New York with her mother, quickly transitioning into modeling and appearing in television commercials. By 14, she and her mother had made another move, this time to Los Angeles, where she began to secure television roles, first appearing in Disciple (1999). A consistent flow of television roles followed, and in 2007, she gained widespread recognition for her portrayal of Blair Waldorf in Gossip Girl (2007). This role led to further opportunities in both film and television. In 2009, she embarked on a music career, releasing her debut single, "Somebody to Love." As of January 2024, Leighton boasts 7.6 million followers on Instagram and 104,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel. She has been married to actor Adam Brody since their private wedding on February 15, 2014, and they continue to share their lives together.
