Brandi Janeen Sommerville, known professionally as Lexus Locklear, was born on March 6, 1976, in Ventura, California, and is a former American adult entertainment performer and model. Growing up in Pennsylvania, the 5'9" performer moved to New York during her teens with ambitions to secure representation from major modeling agencies like Wilhelmina or Ford. At eighteen, she began dancing in Pennsylvania clubs, where fellow dancer Julia Ann introduced her to Vivid Entertainment founder Steven Hirsch. She launched her adult film career in 1994 at age eighteen as a contracted "Vivid Girl," with the company promoting her heavily and drawing comparisons to their top star Janine Lindemulder at that time. She adopted her stage surname from actress Heather Locklear.
