Lidia Valentin — Biography

Lydia Valentín Pérez, born on February 10, 1985, concluded her distinguished career as a Spanish weightlifter. Her competitive journey saw her excel in the 75 kg division until 2018, after which she transitioned to the 81 kg category, following a restructuring of weight classes by the International Weightlifting Federation. Valentín's accolades are extensive, including a trio of Olympic medals: a silver in 2008, gold in 2012, and bronze in 2016. Her dominance on the world stage was further underscored by two World Weightlifting Championship titles in 2017 and 2018, alongside four European Weightlifting Championship victories.
