Linda Wong, originally named Linda Carol Seki, was born on September 13, 1951, in San Francisco, California. She was of Japanese descent and raised in a prosperous family within a traditional Asian-American environment. In 1969, she gained prominence as the homecoming queen at Kennedy High School in Richmond, California. Following high school, she pursued higher education, ultimately graduating with a degree in dance, which allowed her to spend a brief period working as a ballerina.

Before transitioning to the adult film industry, Wong held various positions, including serving as a secretary for the well-known San Francisco attorney Melvin Belli and working as a masseuse in Las Vegas under the alias Linda Ching. Her foray into adult content began in the mid-1970s when she entered the world of nude modeling, most notably featuring in Hustler magazine. This exposure opened doors for her in the pornographic film realm, where she became celebrated for her exotic allure, making history as one of the first Asian stars in American adult cinema.
