About Loredana Groza
Loredana Groza, born on June 10, 1970, is a multifaceted Romanian artist whose career spans pop music, acting, dance, and television. Her journey began in Onești, Romania, and she has since become a prominent figure known for her versatile musical approach. She is married to Andrei Boncea, with whom she shares a daughter. Groza’s initial foray into the music industry was marked by her 1988 debut album, "Bună seara, iubito," a release that also yielded her most enduring hit, the title track.
In 2002, building on the considerable triumph of her album "Agurida," Loredana embarked on an ambitious project to revisit and reimagine classic Romanian songs. This endeavor was fueled by extensive research into the interwar period. The culmination of this effort was the live Pro TV broadcast, "Zaraza–vânzătoarea de plăceri," which was subsequently released on various formats in December 2002. A misconception arose regarding her song "Vreau toată noaptea" in 2006, with false rumors circulating about its participation in Romania's Eurovision selection. This contradicted Loredana's prior statements indicating her disinterest in competing in the national contest after her 2005 bid with "Lele." The speculation was ultimately dispelled once the official list of 2006 national finalists was announced. She dedicated her talents as a coach to the Romanian adaptation of "The Voice" for its initial seven seasons and also serves as the face of Avon in Romania. In 2011, Warner Bros Animation selected Loredana Groza to lend her voice to the singing character of Gloria in the animated film "Happy Feet 2."
