Lynn Redgrave hailed from a distinguished theatrical lineage, born in London's Marylebone district. Her parents, Sir Michael Redgrave and Rachel Kempson, were both accomplished actors. She shared this creative inheritance with her sister, the renowned actress Vanessa Redgrave, and her brother, Corin Redgrave, who was also an actor and a passionate political activist.
