Lynne Austin — Biography
Lynne Austin, born on April 15, 1961, in Plant City, Florida, is a former model and actress from the United States. She gained prominence when she was named Playboy's Playmate of the Month in July 1986 and subsequently featured in various Playboy videos. Austin achieved further recognition as the 1987 Playmate of the Year for the Dutch edition of the magazine. Her rise to fame began after she participated in an advertising campaign for Hooters, where she was recognized as the original "Hooters girl," having been the first waitress hired after one of the chain's founders discovered her at a bikini contest. Austin continues to represent Hooters and has become a prominent figure associated with the brand.
In the early 1990s, she was married to Darren Daulton, a catcher for the Philadelphia Phillies, with whom she shares four children. Austin made a guest appearance on the television show Married...with Children in the episode "Her Cups Runneth Over," which aired in 1989. After her career in modeling and at Hooters, she transitioned to radio, becoming a known personality in the Tampa-St. Petersburg area. She hosted the Sportchix radio program on 1010Sports AM.
