Born Madeleine Marie Stowe Mora on August 18, 1958, this American actress first made her mark primarily on the small screen. Her transition to major film roles began with her appearance in the 1987 crime-comedy Stakeout. Following this success, Stowe captivated audiences in a series of notable films, including Revenge in 1990, Unlawful Entry and the critically acclaimed The Last of the Mohicans both in 1992, Blink in 1993, the science fiction thriller 12 Monkeys in 1995, The General's Daughter in 1999, and the war drama We Were Soldiers released in 2002. Her performance in the 1993 independent film Short Cuts earned her significant recognition, specifically the National Society of Film Critics Award for Best Supporting Actress. Later in her career, Stowe took on the commanding role of Victoria Grayson, the central antagonist in the ABC drama series Revenge, which aired from 2011 to 2015. This powerful portrayal garnered her a nomination for the 2012 Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Television Series Drama.
