About Marilyn Lange
Marilyn Lange is a retired model and actress who achieved prominence through her association with Playboy magazine, serving as the publication's Playmate of the Month in May 1974 and subsequently earning the title of Playmate of the Year in 1975. She was born on January 12, 1952, in Westfield, New Jersey, and gained recognition for her striking natural appearance and engaging personality, which were showcased in her photographic work under the lens of photographer Dwight Hooker. During her career's peak, Marilyn resided in Hawaii and pursued soccer as a recreational interest. In a memorable marketing campaign, the Chicago Sting of the North American Soccer League selected her in the final round of the 1976 NASL College Draft. Despite never actually playing for the organization, she worked with their marketing division and helped raise awareness of soccer throughout the United States during that period. Following her work in modeling and promotional activities, Marilyn withdrew largely from the public eye. She continues to hold a notable place in Playboy history, fondly remembered by the magazine's enthusiasts for her significant role in its legacy and her unusual connection to the world of professional athletics. Over her career with Playboy, Marilyn appeared on 12 covers and contributed 12 photosets to the magazine. Her Playmate recognitions included features in Playboy USA, Playboy Germany, and Playboy Italy during both her May 1974 monthly designation and her 1975 year-long honor.
