About Marla Maples
Marla Ann Maples is an American actress, television personality, model, singer, and presenter. She is best known as the second wife of Donald Trump, the 45th President of the United States. The couple married in 1993, just two months after the arrival of their daughter, Tiffany Trump. Following her high school graduation in 1981, Maples ventured into beauty pageants and competitions, achieving notable success. In 1983, she captured the title of Miss Resaca Beach Poster Girl, and in 1984, she was a runner-up for Miss Georgia USA. Her victory in the Miss Hawaiian Tropic pageant came in 1985.
In 1991, Maples gained visibility as a celebrity guest at WWF WrestleMania VII, where she served as the special guest timekeeper during the main event featuring Hulk Hogan and Sgt. Slaughter. That same year, she made a cameo appearance as herself on the popular television series Designing Women. By August 1992, she took on the role of "Ziegfeld's Favorite" in the Broadway musical The Will Rogers Follies, a part originally played by Cady Huffman when the show debuted in May 1991.
In 1994, she appeared with then-husband Donald Trump in a cameo on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and also featured in an episode of Something Wilder. Maples co-hosted the Miss Universe Pageant in 1996 and 1997, as well as the 1997 Miss USA Pageant, all of which were owned by Trump at the time. Her filmography includes roles in Maximum Overdrive (1986), Executive Decision (1996), For Richer or Poorer (1997), Happiness (1998), Richie Rich's Christmas Wish (1998), Black and White (1999), Two of Hearts (1999), Loving Annabelle (2006), A Christmas Too Many (2007), and A Nanny for Christmas (2010). In 2011, she returned to New York for the off-Broadway production Love, Loss and What I Wore.
Maples appeared on the 2013 episode of Oprah Winfrey's Oprah: Where Are They Now? and was announced as a contestant on season 22 of Dancing with the Stars in March 2016, where she partnered with professional dancer Tony Dovolani. They were eliminated in the fourth week, finishing in 10th place. On March 11, 2016, she guest co-hosted an episode of ABC's morning talk show, The View. In 2018, she was featured as a guest speaker on the Journeys of Faith podcast hosted by Paula Faris. Maples is involved with AWARENYC.org, serving as an advisory board member for the grassroots organization dedicated to improving the lives of women and girls.
