Mary McCormack — Biography
Mary McCormack's journey into the world of acting commenced with a role in Gian Carlo Menotti's Christmas opera, "Amahl and the Night Visitors." She humorously recounts her experience: "I was twelve but looked like an eight-year-old boy." She explained that because no local boys could sing, she landed the part and even donned a hat. Her theatrical endeavors continued with regional performances across New Jersey, while she simultaneously pursued her studies at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. At Trinity, her academic focus was on English and painting, though she also kept her passion for the stage alive, participating in numerous musicals. Later, McCormack completed an acting program at the William Esper Studio. She has since graced many New York stages, including those at The Atlantic Theatre Company, Alice's 4th Floor, and Naked Angels, where she was most recently seen in Jon Robin Baitz's play, "A Fair Country."
