Born on February 3, 1965, Maura Tierney is an American performer who has graced film, stage, and television screens. She gained widespread recognition for her portrayals of memorable characters, including Lisa Miller in the comedy series NewsRadio, which aired from 1995 to 1999. Later, she captivated audiences as Abby Lockhart in the long-running medical drama ER, a role she held from 1999 to 2009. Her performance as Helen Solloway in the intriguing drama The Affair, from 2014 to 2019, earned her significant acclaim, including a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Series, Miniseries, or Television Film.
