Maya Berovic — Biography

Maja Berović, born on July 8, 1987, is a singer of Bosnian Serb heritage. Her musical journey began in 2007 with the release of her debut album, Život uživo, which introduced her to audiences with the song "Džin i limunada." This initial offering was succeeded by Crno zlato in 2008 and Maya in 2011, the latter featuring notable songs such as "Crno zlato" and "Djevojačko prezime." While her earlier works established her presence, the albums Djevojka sa juga (2012) and Opasne vode (2014) marked a notable increase in her reception and popularity within Serbia. Berović's reach expanded significantly across the region when she partnered with rappers Jala Brat and Buba Corelli for her albums Viktorijina tajna (2017) and 7 (2018). These collaborations yielded popular tracks like "To me radi" and "Pravo vreme." To support these releases, she undertook tours that spanned the region, culminating in a highly successful, sold-out performance at the Belgrade Arena. In 2020, she unveiled her eighth studio album, Intime. As of January 2024, Maja Berović maintains a strong online presence, boasting 999,000 followers on Instagram and 322,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel.
