About Megan Gallagher
From the tender age of five, a passion for performing took root in Megan Gallagher. Her early dedication led her to formal drama training during her high school years. Driven by her aspirations, she journeyed to New York City to immerse herself in the rigorous curriculum at Juilliard. It was on the Broadway stage, in the production of "A Few Good Men," that she first garnered significant recognition, earning two prestigious theater accolades, the Theatre World Award and the Outer Critics Circle Award, both celebrating her outstanding debut. Upon completing her bachelor's degree at Juilliard, Gallagher joined John Houseman's esteemed Acting Company. Her career soon extended to the screen, with appearances in television movies and miniseries. However, the pursuit of success in Los Angeles proved challenging, leading her to a point of near disillusionment where she contemplated pursuing a career in law. That turning point arrived with her casting in "Hill Street Blues" in 1981, a role that initially began as a guest appearance and ultimately evolved into a regular feature in the acclaimed series.
