Melanie Appleby — Biography

Melanie Susan "Mel" Appleby, born July 11, 1966, and who passed away on January 18, 1990, was a prominent figure in the music scene of the 1980s. She was famously one half of the English musical partnership Mel and Kim. The duo achieved significant success, reaching the pinnacle of the UK Singles Chart in March 1987 with their hit single, "Respectable."
