As she grew, she admired her father's career and also demonstrated her own athletic capabilities, excelling in soccer and joining the athletics and amateur wrestling programs at Palmdale High School, a rarity for girls at the time as she was one of only four. By the age of fifteen, Anderson was already immersed in the wrestling industry, regularly journeying to San Bernardino for training and appearances at the wrestling school operated by Billy Anderson, her father's former tag team partner. Beyond performing, she also contributed to the operational aspects of the school, eventually leading to her in-ring debut. Despite her early commitments to wrestling, Anderson managed to complete her high school education, often relying on email correspondence with teachers. She also attributes the internet with playing a crucial role in her rise to fame, even while performing for smaller audiences.
