Mia Kirshner — Biography
Mia Kirshner, born on January 25, 1975, is a Canadian actress, writer, and advocate for social causes. She gained recognition for her performances on television, portraying Mandy in the series 24 from 2001 to 2005, Jenny Schecter in The L Word between 2004 and 2009, Amanda Grayson in Star Trek: Discovery from 2017 to 2019, and Isobel Flemming in The Vampire Diaries during its run from 2010 to 2011. Kirshner's film work includes roles in Love and Human Remains (1993), Exotica (1994), The Crow: City of Angels (1996), Mad City (1997), Not Another Teen Movie (2001), and The Black Dahlia (2006). In The Black Dahlia, she plays the character Elizabeth Short and is noted for her topless lesbian kissing scene with Jemima Rooper.
