Michelle Hurd — Biography

Born on December 21, 1966, Michelle Hurd is an American performer primarily recognized for her contributions to television. Her early career garnered attention with her role as Monique Jeffries in the acclaimed police drama Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, a part she held from 1999 to 2001. Following this, Hurd took on the lead role of Athena Barnes in the series Leap Years in 2001. Her career continued to flourish with significant roles, including Colleen Manus in The Glades from 2010 to 2013, Linda Bates Emery in the unique comedy-horror show Ash vs Evil Dead in 2016, and Ellen "Shepherd" Briggs in the crime thriller Blindspot, which aired from 2015 to 2018. More recently, Hurd explored the realm of science fiction, portraying Raffi Musiker in the series Star Trek: Picard between 2020 and 2023.
