Michelle Jenneke — Biography

Michelle Jenneke, widely known as Shelly, is an Australian athlete who competes in the hurdles and also works as a model. Her athletic career saw her secure a silver medal in the 100-meter hurdles at the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics. She further qualified for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2016, achieving this through her victory in the 100-meter hurdles at the Australian Athletics Championships that same year. Jenneke gained significant international recognition in 2012 when a video capturing her energetic pre-race warm-up routine, performed at the World Junior Championship in Barcelona, spread rapidly across the internet. This viral moment even led to her being featured in the 2013 edition of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.
