She entered the entertainment industry by taking on the role of Jackie Burkhart in the Fox sitcom That '70s Show, which ran from 1998 to 2006. Simultaneously, she lent her voice to the animated character Meg Griffin on the Fox series Family Guy, a role she has maintained since 1999. Her transition to film prominence came with the 2008 romantic comedy Forgetting Sarah Marshall, though her most acclaimed performance arrived two years later in the psychological thriller Black Swan.
