Monique Evans — Biography

Monique Evans made her mark on Brazilian television over three decades, appearing in a variety of programs from 1981 to 2012. Her television career spanned dramatic telenovelas, comedic shows, studio-based entertainment, and reality television. Notably, she was a contestant on A Fazenda in 2010 and 2011. Her presence extended to the silver screen, with six film roles between 1984 and 2018. Evans is credited with initiating a significant trend at the Rio de Janeiro Carnival: having stunning women lead the Samba School drum sections. These influential figures became known as Madrinhas or Rainhas de Bateria.
