About Myleene Klass

Myleene Klass, born April 6, 1978, is a multifaceted English performer, known for her work as an actress, singer, model, pianist, and media personality. She gained initial fame as a member of the now disbanded pop group Hear'Say. Her upbringing in Gorleston, Norfolk, was steeped in musical tradition, with her father's side of the family boasting six generations of classical musicians. Her grandmother was an opera singer, and Myleene inherited her grandfather's violin, an instrument she began playing at age four, alongside the piano. By age twelve, she had added the harp to her repertoire, diligently pursuing musical education through Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music exams in violin, piano, and voice, earning an A grade in A-level music and a Norfolk County scholarship.

Her career took a significant turn in 2001 when the ITV1 program Popstars offered aspiring musicians the chance to form a new band. Myleene auditioned and navigated multiple elimination rounds, ultimately securing a spot as one of ten finalists in Hear'Say. She joined Kym Marsh, Suzanne Shaw, Danny Foster, and Noel Sullivan, having outperformed 4,000 other hopefuls for her place. The five contestants not selected for Hear'Say went on to form the successful group Liberty X. Hear'Say's debut single, "Pure and Simple," achieved the distinction of being the fastest-selling non-charitable record of its time, selling 1.3 million copies, a record later surpassed by Will Young. Their self-titled debut album, "Popstars," sold 1.2 million copies in the UK. Following this success, the band was granted their own television show, "Hear'Say It's Saturday," where they performed alongside established artists like Lionel Richie and Celine Dion. The group's high-profile engagements included an appearance on the Royal Variety Performance at the end of 2001, followed by a 37-date arena tour and numerous television appearances. Myleene was a prominent presence in Hear'Say's extensive media schedule throughout 2002, including their own television specials, "Hear'Say: A New Chapter in Full" and "The Hear'Say Story." During their time together, Hear'Say achieved two number one singles, a number three, and a number six hit in the British charts before disbanding amidst considerable media attention, reportedly due to a prolonged dispute between Myleene and Kym Marsh. This feud led to Marsh's departure in 2002, with Johnny Shentall replacing her.

In early 2006, Myleene took on a role in the long-running play "The Vagina Monologues," performing in various locations. Later that year, she participated in the sixth series of the popular reality television show "I'm a Celebrity... Get Me
