Nancy Jo Hooper — Biography

Nancy Ann Harrison entered the world on July 17th, 1943, in Spartanburg, South Carolina. A figure who graced the pages of fashion before becoming a household name for a more adult audience, she captivated readers as Playboy magazine's Playmate of the Month in February of 1964. The iconic centerfold that introduced her to many was captured by the lens of Pompeo Posar, at a time when Nancy Jo was 21 years old. Posar himself, in a revealing note within "The Playmate Book," recounted a candid moment during the photoshoot. He shared that he discovered Nancy Jo's virginity when, seeking a more alluring expression, he asked her for "a little bit more sexy look," to which she responded with a sincere, "I don't know anything about sex!" Her life concluded on November 15th, 2012, in Charleston, South Carolina, at the age of 69.
