About Nancy Valen

Nancy Valen embarked on her acting journey with a memorable appearance in Porky's Revenge in 1985. This was swiftly followed by a role in The Heavenly Kid, where she shared the screen with Richard Mulligan and Jane Kaczmarek. The late eighties saw her co-starring with Patrick Dempsey in the 1989 film Loverboy, and she also took on a supporting role alongside Kirk Cameron in Listen to Me. Among her other cinematic contributions is Seven Sundays, a project that brought her alongside Molly Ringwald and placed her under the direction of the esteemed, Academy Award-winning filmmaker Jean-Charles Tacchella.

Beyond the silver screen, Valen has graced the small screen with numerous television series appearances. In 1990, she made a notable guest appearance on Saved by the Bell, portraying Jennifer, the brand-new school nurse at Bayside High. Interestingly, before Valen was chosen for the role of Nurse Jennifer, supermodel Kathy Ireland had been considered. However, Ireland's tenure was cut short during rehearsals following a disappointing table read and dress rehearsal. Co-creator Peter Engel reminisced about hiring Ireland instantly, recalling, "She must have dazzled us in the office, because I hired her on the spot." Engel subsequently contacted Ireland's manager to convey the decision that she would not be playing the part. That same year, Valen also held a co-starring role in NBC's short-lived musical series Hull High, under the guidance of Kenny Ortega. Following its debut, TV Guide lauded her as "the most agreeably watchable new star on TV." Valen's extensive television guest-starring credits span across 23 series, including roles in Hardball, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Friends, Spin City, Boy Meets World, Full House, Charles in Charge, Miami Vice, Silk Stalkings, and Murder She Wrote.

In addition to her acting work, Valen has lent her presence to several infomercials. She has hosted promotions for products such as the Bun and Thigh Roller, Slam Man, Thin 'n Sexy Body Wrap, Kevin Trudeau's Debt Cures "They" Don't Want You To Know About, Time Life The Heart of Classic Rock, and the Instyler. Valen has also been featured in commercials for John Deere and Washington Mutual. Her media presence extends to guest spots on talk shows like Leno, The Oprah Winfrey Show, and Good Day L.A. Furthermore, she has graced the covers and pages of numerous magazines and newspapers, including American Women, FHM, Cosmopolitan, Entertainment Weekly, and The Los Angeles Times Calendar.
