Natalie Appleton — Biography

Natalie Jane Appleton Howlett, a Canadian vocalist, entered the world on May 14, 1973. She is widely recognized for her contributions to the British ensemble All Saints and, alongside her sister Nicole, for the duo Appleton. Joining All Saints in 1996 as their final member, the group disbanded five years later following internal discord. Subsequently, she joined forces with her sister Nicole, forming the musical partnership known as Appleton. All Saints has since reunited, releasing three additional albums in 2006, 2016, and 2018. The members of All Saints are Shaznay Lewis, Melanie Blatt, Natalie Appleton, and Nicole Appleton. Nicole and Natalie share two elder sisters, Lori and Lee. Born in Mississauga, Ontario, Natalie's parents are Mary and Kenneth Appleton, who are Jewish. Her childhood saw her residing in Toronto, New York City, and London. Natalie holds both Canadian and British citizenship. She completed her secondary education in Ellenville, New York, before leaving at the age of 15 to perform at a Borscht Belt country club. In 1990, she relocated back to Camden, London, where she met Carl Robinson, a performer with the Dreamboys, whom she encountered at a London performance when she was seventeen. Their daughter, Rachel Appleton (now Rachel Howlett), was born on May 19, 1992. Natalie and Robinson relocated to New York, where they married in 1993, but Natalie later returned to the United Kingdom after their marriage was annulled. During the late 1990s, she was involved in relationships with television presenter Jamie Theakston and actor Jonny Lee Miller. In 2000, Natalie began a relationship with Liam Howlett of the electronic group The Prodigy, having met him at V Festival. They exchanged vows on June 7, 2002, in a ceremony held in France. In addition to Natalie's daughter from her earlier marriage, she and Liam have a son, Ace Billy Howlett, born on March 2, 2004. The family resides in the Hampstead district of London.
